Reproductive Health for Every Body

Share

Many of our clients have missions that are personal. In the case of Every Body Texas, it doesn’t get more personal. Every Body Texas works to ensure that every person in Texas can access safe, unbiased, high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare by funding and training healthcare providers in a way that increases access for clients. They administer millions of dollars of Title X funds to clinics across Texas while advocating for the right to reproductive and sexual health.

Every Body Texas came to Mighty Citizen as the Women’s Health and Family Planning Association of Texas (WHFPT—or, colloquially, woof-pat). They had a long name with a funky acronym—and it didn’t accurately reflect the work the organization was doing. Every Body Texas met us at the drawing board for the most obvious extension of their work: their name. Then, their brand. Then, we built a new website as well as new templates for social media, PowerPoint, and Mailchimp to support the brand and further its reach. Together, we created a brand that is as vibrant and proud as the people doing the work.

Seeing Red (and Yellow, and Blue…)

Every Body Texas’ new logo and brand revolves around three colors—one for each audience. Now, anyone looking for their resources for policy and advocacy will recognize the same color along the way. The same goes for providers as well as the general public. Their team can create any page in each of the colors to align with their audience, keeping the site templating simple while still having a truly segmented website.

Messaging is everything for a brand, and there’s no point in overhauling a brand without learning how to talk about it. So, we created a messaging platform for Every Body Texas to ensure internal alignment. A messaging platform is an internal-facing document that organizes your entire messaging ecosystem. It helps your team define or refocus on your “why”, who you serve, and what you offer.

We also built out a “Find a Clinic” section that allows anyone to search for nearby Title X clinics. It functions by pulling in external data from their database so their team only has to update it once for it to populate both internally and on the website.

Emergency Contraception Digital Strategy

In 2020, Texas Senate Bill 8 (SB8) was released, which changed the landscape of available resources for equitable healthcare and emergency contraception. Known as the Texas Heartbeat Act, SB8 bans abortion after the detection of embryonic or fetal cardiac activity, which normally occurs after about six weeks of pregnancy. This greatly increased the potential need for emergency contraception for many Texans. Every Body Texas quickly responded with an educational campaign around emergency contraception options.

The goal of the digital campaign was to increase awareness of access to emergency contraception and leverage the Every Body Texas website as the navigator to finding it.

Every Body Texas also responded to SB8 with the distribution of Repro Kits, a discrete package delivered to the individual with the goal of helping them navigate sexual and reproductive health decisions.

I am thrilled that we have a brand, message, and website that is fully aligned with our goals and identity. Working with the whole team at Mighty Citizen has been a delight.” – Mimi Garcia, Director of Communications, Every Body Texas
