Press Release: National Park Trust Awarded Mighty Citizen’s $100,000 Mighty Big Grant
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AUSTIN, TX — Mighty Citizen has announced the recipient of the agency’s 2024 Mighty Big Grant: National Park Trust.
In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Mighty Citizen relaunched the Mighty Big Grant, awarding one deserving nonprofit organization $100,000 in marketing and branding services. National Park Trust cut through over 700 applications, telling the story of their unwavering commitment to making public parks, lands, and waters accessible to all.
National Park Trust’s mission is rooted in the belief that all current and future generations should care for, enjoy, and preserve our nation’s invaluable resources. The organization acquires the missing pieces of our national parks, the privately owned land located within and adjacent to the parks’ boundaries. Additionally, National Park Trust has brought thousands of kids from under-served communities to our parks, nurturing the future caretakers of these priceless resources.
“We can’t wait to partner with National Park Trust and support their incredible work through our Mighty Big Grant,” said Nick Weynand, Founder & CEO of Mighty Citizen. “Their dedication to preserving our national parks and ensuring they are accessible to everyone is truly inspiring. We’re excited to help them amplify their message and reach even more people with their inspiring mission.”
Mighty Citizen will meet with the National Park Trust in the coming weeks to identify the best way to optimize the $100,000 worth of marketing and branding services. ”We are delighted to receive the extraordinarily generous Mighty Big Grant from Mighty Citizen in celebration of their 25th anniversary! Our team looks forward to rolling up our sleeves and working with them on a marketing and branding project that will help us elevate our park stories that demonstrate the national impact of our programs and engage our organization with a greater audience,” said Grace Lee, Executive Director of National Park Trust.
