Press Release: Mighty Citizen Ranks Among Inc. Magazine’s Annual List of Best Workplaces for 2021

AUSTIN, TX (May 12, 2021)—Mighty Citizen, an award-winning, full-service marketing agency, has been named to Inc. Magazine’s Best Workplaces of 2021a wide-ranging and comprehensive measurement of American companies that have created exceptional workplaces and company culture. Honorees will be featured in Inc. magazine’s May/June 2021 issue and as part of a prominent feature.

The support and additional resources Mighty Citizen offered employees during the uncertainty and stress of 2020 demonstrate a commitment to a healthy workplace culture. In addition to offering an extra week of paid time off and providing flexible hours, Mighty Citizen gave their team a work-from-home stipend to assist in building their home office spaces. When teams were being forced apart by the pandemic, Mighty Citizen shifted their attention to making connections digitally—both for staff and for their clients.

Collecting data from thousands of submissions, Inc. singled out 429 honorees this year. Each honoree took part in an employee survey conducted by Quantum Workplace with topics surrounding management, perks, and employee development. The organization’s benefits were also audited to determine the company’s overall score and ranking.

“While we made sure our clients were taken care of during an unexpected pandemic, above all else, we put our employees first. Mental health and maintaining our culture became our focus. We allowed employees to shift their work hours to meet family demands, offered additional time off to be used however and whenever needed, and hosted virtual team buildings,” said Nick Weynand, Founder & Chief Executive Officer. “When the world was thrown for a loop and uncertainty became the new norm, our goal was to take care of one another the best we could.”

“The definition of a positive workplace has changed drastically over the past year,” said Inc. magazine editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “Stocked fridges and nap pods were no longer perks many companies could rely on once work went remote. So, this year’s list is even more important as it reveals organizations that continue to enrich the lives of its employees amid a pandemic.”
