The Senior Marketing and Events Manager position is focused on creating strategy, events, and content for Mighty Citizen. This is not a client-facing position, though you will be a “voice” of the agency. This is an internal-facing role within the agency.

This position will be focused on events and overall agency marketing strategy to start. As our agency continues to grow, the position will move away from events and into a strategy-focused role. We are specifically looking for experience building marketing and communications strategies and plans.

  • 8-10 years professional experience in similar roles. Agency experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with Marketing Automation Platforms (Hubspot, ActiveCampaign, etc.), Content Management Systems (Wordpress, Craft, etc.), as well as common productivity tools (Microsoft Office, Google Drive, email programs, project management systems, etc.).
  • Experience with Google Analytics and other marketing analytics tools. We have other team members that help with this, so while expert-level understanding is not necessary, you should understand what reporting and capabilities are available.
  • A diverse skill set with the ability to market across all mission-driven industries.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to tactfully deliver and accept honest criticism.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Keen attention to detail and processes. This job requires many moving parts. We have a project manager and project tracking software, but you must be able to keep track of your work and move it along.
  • Ability to travel from time to time to help with events (no more than 5% travel expected) when we return to in-person events.
  • Exceptional writing and copy editing skills.
  • Exceptional team management skills.
  • A positive attitude with team members and customers.
  • A history of successfully managing multiple duties in a fast-paced collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
