Project Manager

The Project Manager will lead projects and ensure project success for Mighty Citizen. We are looking for a highly motivated team player who will help us grow our company in a sustainable way.

The expectations, requirements, and qualifications to perform this job successfully are listed below and are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.

Location: Austin, TX or remote

Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 dependent on experience.

Job Responsibilities

This position will:

  • Manage a large portfolio of projects spanning web development, branding and marketing.
  • Lead project activities from pre-kickoff through project wrap-up, such as creating and communicating project plans, schedules, and budgets, assigning tasks and deadlines, running weekly stand-ups and team meetings, clearing roadblocks and escalating issues when necessary, managing project scope and mitigating scope creep, assessing project success and providing status reports to the client and company directors.
  • Lead client and internal communication for projects.
  • Manage project budgets and allocation of hours for project teams.
  • Ensure timely and accurate status reporting for client projects.
  • Create process and project documentation and take ownership for maintaining an accessible and up-to-date document repository, along with others in the project management office.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure Mighty Citizen solutions meet or exceed client expectations and align to defined business needs.
  • Oversight of post-launch support issues during an initial warranty period.
  • Prepare presentation agendas, materials, and documents for internal and client-facing meetings and facilitate meetings.
  • Continually evaluate project management systems and processes and contribute suggestions for improvement, along with others in the project management office.
  • Coordinate with other Project Managers to plan resources for projects and manage contractors when needed.
  • Lead and mentor Project Coordinators.
  • Contribute to business development efforts for your client roster, including scoping new projects.
  • General accounting support, including drafting estimates for clients, reviewing client account renewals, and reviewing monthly billing.
  • Other tasks as required to make you and the company successful.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in digital and/or marketing project management.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is ideal, but not required.
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM) is ideal, but not required.
  • Experience with common productivity tools such as Google Drive, chat programs, and project management systems. Experience with Quickbooks is preferred, but not required.

  • Working knowledge of marketing campaigns and creative projects, including familiarity with digital and traditional communication mediums.
  • Working knowledge of web development, including familiarity with best practices and standards related to writing for the web, user experience design, search engine optimization, Content Management Systems, and HTML/CSS.
