Content Marketing Intern

This internship pays $12/hour and will begin in January 2022. You’ll work a flexible schedule of 15-20 hours each week in our offices in East Austin. While you’ll start in our offices, this position may move to remote depending on performance. Also with good performance, the internship may be mutually extended into the Summer and Fall.

This role encompasses marketing for Mighty Citizen (not for our clients). Attention to detail is a must. Writing skills are nice to have. Please be sure to showcase your talents in your resume and cover letter.

We’re looking for someone who wants to dig in deep and learn a lot. You will gain experience with us. This is not a shadowing internship. You’ll be doing the work.

Job Responsibilities

  • With guidance, write and edit marketing content including emails, landing pages, etc.
  • Research and help coordinate our speaking engagements and award submissions.
  • Support with event planning and marketing.
  • Help with social media for the agency including crafting content and posting across social media channels.
  • Distribute our content using Hubspot, our marketing automation platform. You don’t need to know Hubspot coming into the job. We’ll train you.
  • Assist with data clean up and maintenance to help us better understand our prospects, current followers, and the marketplace.
  • Other tasks as necessary to make you and the company more successful.

  • Organizational, collaboration, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to adapt tone to the needs of the agency.
  • Ability to work independently or with our collaborative team, without close supervision.
  • Ability to take honest criticism and produce revisions that address feedback.
  • Willing to take responsibility and share ideas for improvement of agency work.

Length of Term

This position will be evaluated in April to determine whether to extend the internship, cancel the internship, or potentially offer a part-time or full-time staff position.
