Marketing Intern

This paid internship will begin in the late spring/early summer. You’ll work a flexible schedule of 15-20 hours each week here in our offices in East Austin (with the possibility of some remote work).

This role encompasses both writing and marketing skills, so please be sure to showcase your talents in your resume and cover letter.

Job Responsibilities

  • Write and edit marketing content—including blog posts, how-to guides, emails, etc.
  • Support the marketing team in developing marketing initiatives to achieve business goals.
  • Support sales efforts by helping create and maintain prospect lists and conduct market research.
  • Work with data to help us better understand our prospects, current followers, and the marketplace.
  • Maintain social media for the agency, helping to formulate strategy, crafting content, and posting across social media channels on a regular basis.
  • Work within the project management process to usher internal projects through the pipeline.
  • Act as a coordinator for the Sales & Marketing team. This means taking meeting notes, documenting decisions, and scheduling.
  • Distribute the Insights newsletter using email marketing system (Campaign Monitor).
  • Research and help coordinate our speaking engagements.
  • Other tasks as necessary to make you and the company more successful.

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to adapt tone to the needs of the agency and/or the client
  • Ability to manage time effectively and focus on details.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work independently or with our collaborative team, without close supervision.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed specific goals.
  • Ability to collect meaningful data and draw solid conclusions.
  • Ability to take honest criticism and produce revisions that address feedback.
  • Willing to take responsibility and share ideas for improvement of agency work.

Length of Term

This position will be evaluated at the end of the summer to determine whether to extend the internship, cancel the internship, or potentially offer a part-time or full-time staff position.
