Junior Visual Designer

Mighty Citizen is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes everyone to our team. We strongly encourage people of color, LGBTQ and non-binary people, veterans, parents, and individuals with disabilities to apply. If you need reasonable accommodation at any point in the application or interview process, please let us know.

Mighty Citizen is the branding, marketing, and digital agency for mission-driven organizations. We focus solely on helping nonprofits, associations, universities, and government agencies build deeper connections with their audiences, increase their revenue and relevance, and improve their communities.

We’re looking for a Junior Visual Designer with 1-2 years of multi-disciplinary experience who’s passionate about design, technology, messaging, and concept.

Our background is in web development with a growing roster of brand identity, marketing, and advertising projects. Working here means supporting design across digital and print channels, collaborating on projects that span large-scale web design systems, integrated marketing campaigns (email, social, display advertising, and traditional), brand redesigns, print collateral, events, and internal projects.

You should be up to speed with best practices in UX and graphic design. You know your way around design programs and can run with a big idea. You’ve worked on some websites and advertising, contributed to branding work, and love putting a good presentation together. Your best days are spent designing pixel-perfect layouts, finessing icons, and brainstorming concepts. Bonus points for previous agency experience or working in-house in one of our client industries.

We’re big on sharing ideas and doing great work. If all the above (and below) sound good, please apply. Be sure to send us a digital portfolio of your best work and we look forward to discussing it.
